5. Former WWE Referee Says Dean Ambrose Is The Answer

Former WWE Referee Jimmy Korderas recently noted on CSRWrestling that “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose is the answer to WWE’s problems. Below is what he wrote:

The WWE’s main roster has been hit hard by the injury bug. Now we can add Luke Harper to a list that feels like it is growing on a weekly basis. It’s been a tough sledding with so many quality talents on the shelf but one man’s misfortune is another man’s opportunity. This motto applies in all walks of life but is especially true in the WWE. It goes without saying that when any superstar suffers an injury that keeps them out of action for an extended period, it is terribly unfortunate. Injuries are an inherent part of the business. The risks involved when performing in any wrestling ring are ever present and each and every wrestler who has steps foot inside the squared circle understands that. As good old JR would say, “it’s not ballet”.

I try to think with every negative there comes something positive. The recent rash of injuries to so many top WWE superstars has created opportunity. As callus as it may sound, the show must go on. There is no point in lamenting over what might have been and simply look ahead to the future. The door is now wide open for another superstar to step up and claim the spot that they believe they are destined for. The WWE is all about opportunity and now more than ever is the time for someone to break out of the pack. There are only a few candidates that I can see filling that role.

As WrestleMania 32 rapidly approaches, I believe Dean Ambrose is the logical choice to be that guy as far as the long term future of the company is concerned. I still think it is not the right time to pull the trigger in giving Ambrose a run in the top spot. That time will come, no need to rush the process. I’m a firm believer in the slow burn approach. Let there be a good story that leads to his rise in the ranks. It will only benefit him and the company in the long run.

Ambrose possesses that “it” factor that cannot be taught. He has the charisma the majority of the WWE universe has gravitated to and appreciates. He bridges that so called gap between the more avid fans and the more casual ones. The “Lunatic Fringe” has developed an organic connection with the fans in much the same way Daniel Bryan did. He may not be quite at that level just yet but his appeal is growing. That, more than any other factor is why he has a great shot at being the next one.
