Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving CM Punk and Nick Khan.
• During an interview on Outta Pocket with RGIII, Seth Rollins said he’s open to fighting CM Punk in the UFC:
“Sure. Yeah, I would. I mean, I’m not going to just bust into his locker room backstage and start lighting him up. But like, if Dana White wanted to book CM Punk vs Seth Rollins, you know, first, I guess, [non UFC fighter/fight] on one of his cards, I’d put on the gloves and give it a go.
Might be the only one I do. But yeah, I would, you put me in there with like any of the other guys in my weight class… oh I’m out.
Dana, you want to make some money? Book it, brother. Just give us a few months, you know, give me a few months. Give me like a training camp. But I feel like I could handle myself.”
CM Punk had two fights in the UFC in the welterweight (170 lbs) division and lost both of them. The second fight was turned into a No Contest later, when Punk’s opponent tested positive for marijuana.

• On The Bill Simmons Podcast, Nick Khan claimed that WWE is the underdog in their battle against AEW.
Here’s what the WWE President said:
“We’re always the underdog at WWE. We always feel that people underestimate us, that we’re looked down upon. And we like it that way. Like bet against us. We prefer that and allow us to show you what we can do.”
Despite WWE’s global dominance, with billion-dollar television deals and record revenues in recent years, Khan emphasized the company’s mindset of proving doubters wrong.
“If you look at the stock price now, it’s far in excess of what it was when we all started together 5 years ago. We’re quite proud of that. At the same time, we have to keep re-earning our keep on a daily basis here,” he added, highlighting WWE’s growth since his arrival in 2020 and the formation of TKO Group after the merger with UFC under Endeavor.
This underdog narrative aligns with WWE’s recent creative resurgence, as Nick believes there’s still “a lot of room for growth” in the ever-evolving wrestling landscape.
