WWE Superstar Seth Rollins didn’t hold back when he appeared on the Up & Adams podcast with Kay Adams. While the original segment focused on a fun “fantasy booking” idea involving WWE Superstars and Chicago Bears legends, it quickly turned into a roast session—especially at the expense of Hulk Hogan. When asked to build a dream team match between NFL stars and WWE wrestlers, Rollins chose William “The Refrigerator” Perry, Steve “Mongo” McMichael, and Devin Hester to represent the Bears. Notably, Perry and McMichael both have pro wrestling connections, making them more than just football icons. But when it came to picking wrestlers for the opposing team, Rollins took a very different approach.
Hulk Hogan Joins CM Punk on Seth Rollins’ “Get Crushed” List
Rollins didn’t fill the WWE side with fan-favorite icons or technical legends. Instead, he listed names he’d love to see take a beating. “CM Punk, for sure,” Rollins said, continuing the real-life tension that’s long simmered between the two. He also added a surprising second name: “Rick Martel. Just never liked him as a kid.”
Then came the main event of the verbal takedown: Hulk Hogan. “We want somebody we want to see get crushed in the ring and that’s going to be Hulk Hogan,” Rollins stated with a laugh.
Hulk Hogan & Seth Rollins: A “Complicated Relationship”
The comment raised eyebrows, prompting host Kay Adams to ask Rollins why he said that. “Look it up,” Rollins replied bluntly.
Adams didn’t let it go and followed up by asking if he didn’t like Hogan. Rollins answered, “Complicated relationship there with the Hulkster.”
When Adams asked for a one-sentence explanation, Rollins flat-out declined. “Nope, you cannot. That is tricky. You’re gonna have to google that one. You can probably figure it out pretty easily, to be fair. It’s not that tricky.”
Adams tried to wrap it up by saying, “He’s a bad guy, and you’re a good guy,” which Rollins didn’t exactly deny.
“Hollywood Hulk Hogan, not a good guy. Terry Bollea, also not the best guy,” Rollins said, referencing Hogan’s character and real name.
Hulk Hogan’s WWE Legacy Still a Divisive Topic
Rollins’ comments may not surprise longtime fans. He has taken subtle digs at Hulk Hogan before, and given Hogan’s controversial history both inside and outside the ring, the “complicated relationship” line might resonate with others in the industry too.
For now, Rollins continues to speak his mind—and Hogan, once again, finds himself in the center of the conversation.
