– Bianca Belair hurt her knee (storyline wise) during the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Women’s Championship against Asuka and Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2023.
Belair still managed to win the match and become the new WWE Women’s Champion, only to be successfully cashed-in on by IYO SKY a few moments later.
On the August 18th episode of SmackDown, Belair was assaulted by Damage CTRL backstage, where they further injured her knee. This injury angle was done to write Belair off TV.
It looks like Belair will be returning for next month’s Crown Jewel premium live event in Saudi Arabia, as she’s featured on the official poster for this event, which was revealed by Triple H:

It’s possible that WWE books IYO SKY vs. Bianca Belair for the WWE Women’s Championship at this event. However, for this match to happen, IYO will have to defeat Charlotte Flair first, as that title match is going to happen this coming Friday on SmackDown.
