• Triple H Comments On The Physiques Of Current WWE Wrestlers

On Cody Rhodes’ “What Do You Wanna Talk About?” podcast, Triple H had the following to say about the physiques of current WWE wrestlers:

“I feel like it’s mixed, depending on who you are as a performer and what you’re bringing to the table. Would Brock Lesnar be as frightening if he didn’t look like Brock Lesnar? But I don’t think you have to have it. I’m a bigger believer in the variety of things. There needs to be some semblance of believability to what we do.

I don’t think that means you have to be a bodybuilder. I don’t think it means you have to be lean where you can see your abs. I think that works for some folks. But there’s also room for the Gunthers.

I’d love to see the Kamala shape and size. There’s something for everybody across what we do. I talk about history a lot. Abdullah The Butcher, Kamala, people like that are just as frightening to me as the Road Warriors were, or anybody else who was jacked up and on a different level.

I’m a big believer that variety makes everything better. When you get fed one thing for a while, after a while you get tired of eating the same thing. So you want that variety.”

• AEW vs. TNA Might No Longer Happen

A major political wall is going up between TNA and AEW, and it’s starting to ruin some TNA vs. AEW matches scheduled for the MLP Multiverse show.

The trouble started when TNA pulled Moose from the event. While the official excuse was a scheduling conflict, the real reason seems to be a deepening grudge between the two companies.

According to Fightful Select, we might moving toward a situation where TNA wrestlers are simply not allowed to step into a ring with AEW talent anywhere, even on independent shows.

There is now a serious fear that Nic Nemeth (fka Dolph Ziggler) and Leon Slater will also be pulled from the show. This would kill two huge matches: Nemeth vs. MJF and Slater vs. Ricochet.

Nemeth is reportedly fighting hard to stay on the card, but he might not have a choice if TNA bosses put their foot down.

It all seems to stem from a TV ratings battle. TNA executive Carlos Silva is reportedly furious that AEW ran Collision at the same time as TNA iMPACT last week. Even though that was a decision made by the TV network (WBD) to take advantage of college basketball fans, TNA took it personally.

If this heat doesn’t cool down, fans who bought tickets to see these cross-promotional matches might be left with a completely different show.
