Netflix’s blockbuster night with Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul drew 60 million viewers, but came with significant technical problems for fans.

The much-anticipated fight between the social media sensation and the boxing icon drew global attention but was marred by persistent buffering and connection issues.

Frustrated fans took to social media to vent their anger, and for some WWE fans, this raised concerns about Netflix’s readiness for RAW in 2025.

According to Fightful Select, the platform assured WWE that these issues would be resolved before January.

During an interview on Greg & The Morning Buzz, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H was asked about RAW potentially facing buffering issues on Netflix.

The Game said:

“If our first night buffers and they come and say it was 60-70 million households watching, I’ll be good with the buffering.”

RAW averages around 1.5 million viewers in the United States on the USA Network these days. However, their social media views cross the 10 million mark on a lot of occasions.

Netflix has released the official trailer for WWE RAW moving to their platform in 2025.

They wrote the following on X:

“LIVE Drama, LIVE Heroes, LIVE Action.

WWE RAW will be LIVE on Netflix in the US starting January 2025.”

You can watch it below:

As seen in the above trailer, Netflix used the tagline “you can’t fake this” for WWE programming.
