Below are some top WWE & AEW news stories of the day, involving NXT’s partnership with AJPW and tickets sales for upcoming event.
• WWE, under the leadership of Triple H, is changing its approach by lending out an NXT talent to All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW).
The current AJPW Triple Crown Champion, Katsuhiko Nakajima, is set to face a mystery challenger from NXT at the New Year Giant Series 2024 on January 3rd.
AJPW President Tsuyoki Fukuda was shown on a phone call, where he conveyed the promotion’s desire for a strong NXT wrestler to compete for the Triple Crown title in this unique cross-promotional event.
Here’s what Fukada said:

• The WWE Live Event at Madison Square Garden on December 26th has sold almost twice as many tickets as the AEW Worlds End PPV on December 30th.
This untelevised WWE house show, which will feature CM Punk’s first match in WWE in almost 10 years (where he will face Dominik Mysterio), has sold 15,009 tickets so far.
On the other hand, All Elite Wrestling’s final pay-per-view of 2023, which will be main evented by MJF (c) vs. Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship, has sold 7,923 tickets so far.
