Roman Reigns eliminated Gunther in the end to win the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match and The OTC is going to main event WrestleMania 42.

During the Royal Rumble post show, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H had the following to say about Roman’s second Royal Rumble victory:

“He is one of the most strategic and well-thought out individuals in this business right now. I was given a nickname, Cerebral Assassin, by Jim Ross. It would be a name I would use for Roman Reigns. One of the greatest thinkers in this business.”

At Royal Rumble 2026, Drew McIntyre defeated Sami Zayn to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship. In the main event of the PLE, Roman Reigns won the Men’s Royal Rumble match.

During the post show, Drew was asked about the possibility of facing The OTC at WrestleMania 42. Here’s what The Scottish Psychopath said:

“Roman Reigns? Ohh, there’s a big enemy of Drew McIntyre. His Bloodline made my life a living hell for so long. So if he wants to pick Drew McIntyre, I know he’s on his own now. On his own, I would destroy Roman Reigns. Go for it, Roman. Pick me. Let’s main event WrestleMania and I will drop your ar$e. I’m unbeatable right now.”

AJ Styles passed out to Gunther’s sleeper hold in a career-threatening match at Royal Rumble 2026 and lost. The Phenomenal One’s career is over and the former WWE Champion is officially retired.

John Cena, who retired last month, tweeted the following about AJ’s retirement:

“Phenomenal is an understatement. Respect is earned and few are more worthy of universal industry wide respect than AJ Styles. Thank you AJ for all you’ve done for wrestling. From anyone who’s seen you and those lucky enough to share canvas with you.”

Cena and Styles shared the ring for the final time at Crown Jewel 2025 in Perth, Australia, where the 17-time World Champion defeated the TNA Legend.

There’s a reason Hobbs’ new name is Royce Keys. According to Fightful Select, Royce is the name of Hobbs’ youngest son and Keys is the maiden name of his late mother.
