As seen in the opening match of Survivor Series 2022, Team Bianca Belair defeated Team Bayley in the 1st ever War Games Match in the history of the WWE main roster.

Becky Lynch picked up the win for her team with a Leg Drop from the top of the Steel Cage.

During the post-show press conference, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H said the following about Becky’s return to in-ring action:

β€œThe level of commitment that comes from our talent, for things like that is tough for people that aren’t doing this, they don’t have that level of physicality that don’t do this on a daily basis to understand but my hats off to The Man.

Hats off to Becky for stepping in this matter coming off that injury and to everybody that was out there tonight. This is not an easy thing to do and they knocked it out of the park.”

The Game was happy with how the show went:

β€œOpening the show is just as important as closing the show. You have to open big, you have to close big… and we did that tonight. The women just knocked it out of the park. They really delivered and the men did on the end as well with an amazing storyline.”

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on November 27, 1991, the World Wrestling Federation aired β€˜WWF Survivor Series 1991’ LIVE on PPV from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

The pay-per-view had the tagline “The Gravest Challenge”.

This was the 5th annual ‘Survivor Series’ event since it started in 1987.
