• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (April 2, 2017) – WrestleMania 33

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on April 2, 2017, WrestleMania 33 took place. The event featured Brock Lesnar defeating Goldberg to win the Universal Championship, Randy Orton defeating Bray Wyatt to become a 13 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Roman Reigns defeating The Undertaker in the main event (this was Reigns’ 3rd straight WrestleMania main event and The Undertaker’s first since 2010).

The Undertaker wrestled his record 25th WrestleMania match and his WrestleMania record became 23-2 after the match.

• Triple H Reveals WWE’s Recent Fear

During a recent interview with ESPN, 14 time World Champion & Old School WWF Legend Triple H revealed that him & WWE were afraid of Daniel Bryan leaving WWE and going somewhere else to wrestle and then risk his health because other companies don’t care as much as they do.

Below is what “The Game” said:

“Part of me was so afraid in the period of time when it was all going down that he was going to walk and say ‘forget it’ and go wrestle for someone else that doesn’t care, that doesn’t take their health into consideration — because that’s pretty much everywhere else — and risk his life and his health and his family and his baby and risk all of it.

And it’s not worth that. We take enough risk every day in what we do. Every day. Luckily we never got there, and luckily things worked out. It’s funny, because as Bryan was putting out things like, ‘I’m going to do this if they won’t let me do that,’ he was already working the information. He was already getting those tests done. He was already getting that stuff done. Looking back on it, he was already prepping. He was prepping everything about it.”
