• Triple H Says WWE Never Fired SmackDown Star

Controversy regarding SmackDown star R-Truth’s WWE contract from 2025 will be addressed in WWE Unreal’s season 2 on Netflix. During a new trailer for the upcoming season, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H revealed that R-Truth was never fired:

“We got to a point in Truth’s run where his contract was coming up. When you are dealing with contracts and money and you’re very far apart in the numbers and communication breaks down, it’s very easy for both sides to read into the communications differently.

‘Okay, well, if you’re not going to come to us, then, Truth, we’re going to let your contract lapse. Your contract is at the end. We’re not gonna renew,’ knowing that hopefully maybe this will force his hand to say, ‘well, hold on a second, can we talk?’

He immediately went out on social (media) and said he was fired, which he was never fired. Contrary to prior belief, he was never not under contract with us.”

R-Truth said: “I got the call that my contract wasn’t going to be renewed, and I’m like, ‘so am I released? Am I?’ I took it as I was released. I just, I was hurt.”

Road Dogg said the following about this situation: “While it broke my heart, it made perfect business sense to not renew his contract. At his age, you might not get that reward back.”

• Update On Je’Von Evans After Injury On RAW

There is good news regarding the health of one of WWE’s fastest-rising stars. According to PWInsider, Je’Von Evans is reportedly “OK” following a health scare during today’s RAW that left fans and officials concerned about a potential head injury.

While initial reports suggested there was no major structural concern (such as a break or tear), there was significant worry backstage that Evans may have suffered a concussion. Following his match against El Grande Americano, the 21-year-old was immediately evaluated by WWE’s medical team.

Evans was cleared to leave the arena and travel with the rest of the roster to the next city, a strong sign that he did not suffer a serious brain injury. While a concussion cannot be 100% ruled out until further testing is completed, the current belief is that he avoided the worst-case scenario.

Je’Von remains a vital part of WWE’s youth movement, having recently been called up to the main roster during a massive developmental “raid.”
