• Triple H, Stephanie McMahon & Other WWE Officials Think AEW Is A Serious Threat To WWE

According to Slice Wrestling, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and other WWE officials watched AEW Double Or Nothing PPV this past Saturday night to evaluate the competition.

WWE is now finding ways to improve their product as they see AEW as a serious threat to WWE, especially with the TNT TV deal.

Also, WWE officials weren’t happy with their wrestlers tweeting about AEW Double Or Nothing and putting over the show on Social Media. Many WWE wrestlers tweeted about the PPV, including the likes of Sasha Banks & SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley.

Speaking of WWE officials watching Double Or Nothing, Dustin Rhodes noted during a Starrcast II Q&A session (on the day after the PPV) that 30 people from WWE texted him about his match.

Below is what Dustin said:

“I think the internal reaction was ‘wow, there’s a life outside of prison.’ I would say about 30 of the WWE including employees texted me, telling me ‘oh my god awesome, incredible I love the show’ so they watched the show.

Everybody watched it and the people who say they don’t watch it might not watch it — most of them are full of sh*t if you’re a wrestling fan and I don’t know about the boss. I don’t know if Hunter or Vince or Stephanie watched the stuff, but some of the office personnel did and it makes me feel good that something else was in the spotlight that shows there is life out of WWE that is shining and it was magical last night.”
