4. Alberto Del Rio No Longer A WWE Superstar
As we noted before, former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio had a clause in his WWE contract which allows him to opt out of his deal anytime he wants. Del Rio has decided to opt out of his deal and is said to be done with WWE.
We noted before how Del Rio wasn’t happy with his status in the WWE and Triple H wasn’t a fan of his work and wasn’t keen on giving Del Rio a main event push (which he was promised when he returned to WWE last year). Del Rio was not happy about Paige (his girlfriend) being drafted to Raw & him being on SmackDown Live either.
Del Rio is now free to work anywhere outside USA (and will be free to work in USA by the end of September).
Del Rio was recently suspended from WWE for 30 days due to his 1st failure of the WWE Wellness policy. His last match was against John Cena on SmackDown Live.
