3. Who Will Triple H Face At WrestleMania 33?
Triple H made his return to WWE programming on this week’s episode of Raw during the Fatal-4 way elimination Universal Title main event match. During the match, Triple H pedigreed Roman Reigns and helped Seth Rollins to pin “The Big Dog”.
Triple H then turned on Rollins and pedigreed him to help Owens get the win and become the 2nd ever Universal Champion.
We noted last year that Triple H & Seth Rollins were scheduled to square off this year, possibly at SummerSlam 2016, but Rollins’ injury nixed those plans. But now, plans are back for a Triple H vs. Seth Rollins match, but that match might not take place this year and this angle between the former Authority members is expected to head into WrestleMania season in 2017, culminating in a match at WrestleMania 33.
For the time being, there are talks of doing a WrestleMania 32 rematch between Triple H & Roman Reigns (not for the Title this time due to obvious reasons). No word yet on if the match will take place at the coming Raw exclusive PPV, Clash of the Champions 2016, or WWE officials will just book Reigns to forget what happened and make him continue his rivalry with Rusev.
