Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day, involving Bad Blood and Swerve Strickland.
• On tonight’s RAW, WWE announced that Liv Morgan will defend the Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley at the Bad Blood PLE on October 5th.
After this, World Tag Team Champion Finn Balor came out and called out Damian Priest and said the following:
“You turned Finn Balor into a sidekick. I ain’t no sidekick.”
Balor claimed that Priest screwed him out of the World Title picture. Balor said Priest and Rhea will both fall on the same night as he’s challenging Priest to a match at Bad Blood. Priest accepted the challenge.
Judgment Day came out to attack Priest and Priest started laying everyone out. Rhea came out and Liv attacked her from behind.
Liv was about to hit a fallen down Rhea with a crutch and Priest sacrificed his own body to protect Rhea. This led to Jey Uso running out with a steel chair to make the save.

• Swerve Strickland faced “Hangman” Adam Page in an Unsanctioned Light’s Out Steel Cage Match at the AEW All Out 2024 pay-per-view this past Saturday.
This was the main event of the PPV and featured intense moments like bumps on cinderblocks, a foot stomp through a table, and Swerve using burnt wood to stab Page.
The match escalated when Page ripped the grill from Swerve’s mouth and stabbed him with a needle. Page then knocked out Swerve with a steel chair shot to the head.
Swerve, who is reportedly taking time off from AEW, addressed the criticism for his match being violent:
“(UN-SANC-TIONED)
What did you expect?
Go where others won’t go”
