7. Old School WCW Announcer Returning To TNA?

According to Dave Meltzer, there’s a rumor of Old School WCW play-by-play commentator Mike Tenay returning to TNA (now being referred to as iMPACT Wrestling).

Nothing has been confirmed or denied at this point, but his return could happen as soon as the upcoming Slammiversary 2017 PPV, where the regular commentary-duo Josh Matthews & Jeremy Borash are both involved in a Tag Team match.

“The Professor” Mike Tenay has been a part of TNA since the very beginning and his long-term (from 2002 till 2009) commentary-partner Don West is already confirmed to make his return to the broadcast table at Slammiversary on July 2nd.

It would fit perfectly for TNA’s 15 year anniversary show to have the original commentary-duo back to call the event, even if it’s just for one night only.
