WWE is planning to split the duo of Intercontinental Champion The Miz & Maryse and the reason behind this was the arrival of another couple, Mike & Maria Kanellis, on SmackDown Live. Here’s what Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer had to say about this: “The end result is that they’re doing Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas as Miz’s new Entourage and they’re dumping Maryse. I guess with the idea that because they’ve got Mike & Maria Kanellis on the other brand, they don’t want another husband and wife team or something?”
When Meltzer was asked if this means that Maryse is done with appearances on WWE programming, Meltzer said the following: “It looks like it”.
