• UFC 284 Results – Champion vs. Champion
In the main event of tonight’s UFC 284 pay-per-view in Perth, Australia, Islam Makhachev defeated UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski via unanimous decision to retain the UFC Lightweight Championship.
Islam will now become the #1 pound for pound fighter in the world, which was previously Volkanovski.
In the post-fight interview, Islam said he’s the best fighter in the world. This was Islam’s 1st defense of the Lightweight Title.

– Justin Tafa def. Parker Porter via KO (punch) in the 1st round of their Heavyweight (265 lbs) bout
– Jack Della Maddalena def. Randy Brown via Submission (rear-naked choke) in the 1st round of their Welterweight (170 lbs) bout
– Yair Rodríguez def. Josh Emmett via Submission (triangle choke) in the 2nd round to become the Interim UFC Featherweight (145 lbs) Champion
– Islam Makhachev (c) def. UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski in a 5 round fight via Decision (unanimous) to retain the UFC Lightweight (155 lbs) Championship
