Below are a couple of top UFC & WWE news stories of the day, featuring Tom Aspinall and Cody Rhodes.
• Interim UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall appeared at a recent WWE Live Event in Manchester, England, where he had an in-ring segment with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.

After this appearance, Aspinall told MMA journalist Chisanga Malata that he plans to join WWE after he retires from UFC.
Here’s what the 31-year-old champion said:
“When I have retired from MMA, I’m switching over to WWE. And I’m going to be the WWE heavyweight champ.”
Aspinall (who is 6-foot-5 and weighs 250 lbs) last fought at the UFC 304 PPV in July, where he defeated Curtis Blaydes via KO (punches) in just one minute to retain his Interim Heavyweight Title. You can watch it below:
He wants to fight UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones to determine who is the Undisputed Champion, but Jones will defend his title against Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 in November and he plans to retire after this fight.
• During an interview with SPORTbible, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes had an interesting non-PG message for men who are intimidated by other men who wear suits (like he does):
“I’ve said this before and it’s a crude answer but it’s straight up, there are men intimidated by suits, and to me that just right out of the gate is a giant red flag that you have a small pen!s.
Like right out of the gate I’m like yep, that guy is super insecure, if my suit’s bothering you, like you’re not packing. It’s a crude answer I apologize but there you go.”
