UFC Legend Wants To Fight CM Punk In His Retirement Fight

CM Punk

UFC Legend Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort recently noted that his next fight will be his retirement fight. During an interview with FloCombat, Vitor talked about who he would like to face in his last fight.

Instead of choosing a top fighter, Vitor said he would like to face former WWE wrestler CM Punk. Below is what he said:

“It would have to be an interesting fighter, but not a top fighter. I’ve been fighting good guys before: Dan Henderson, Chris Weidman, ‘Jacaré’ Souza, Gegard Mousasi and now Kelvin Gastelum. These are all hard fights, so if you can book a smoother fight… What’s the name of that guy from WWE? CM Punk would be a good fight. CM Punk, let’s get it on. That would be a really good fight.”

CM Punk made his MMA debut at UFC 203 last year, where he tapped out to Mickey Gall in the first round. On the other hand, Vitor got knocked out in the first round by Kevin Gastelum at a UFC Fight Night this week.

It should be noted that Punk fought at welterweight (170 lbs) and Vitor at middleweight (185 lbs). It should be noted that Vitor has competed at Light Heavyweight & Heavyweight as well.
