According to PWInsider, multiple people from WWE’s corporate side got released this week.

The biggest name that got released was Stan Stanski, who was with the company for 15 years.

He was hired in 2006 as the Vice President of Creative Services and got promoted to the Senior Vice President position in 2012.

He posted the following description about his job on LinkedIn:

“Responsible for defining and managing the overall creative look of WWE across all platforms including but not limited to: the graphic identity and branding; photography; on and off air affiliate marketing of pay-per-view events; consumer and trade advertising; consumer products; sponsorship and retail promotions; live event and tour promotion; fan events; talent brand development; corporate communication; and WWE Studios.”

PWInsider reported the following about the backstage reaction to Stan’s release:

“Stanski’s departure has been quite the shock as word has traveled around the company this evening. One person described Stanski’s departure as ‘the ultimate proof no one is safe’ and ‘yet another reminder this isn’t the same company it was a year ago.’”

On this day in 1999, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF SmackDown!’.
