Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving The Undertaker.
• On Busted Open After Dark podcast, Bubba Ray Dudley asked The Undertaker if he has a problem with the idea of John Cena breaking Ric Flair’s record and becoming a 17-time World Champion this year.
Here’s what The Deadman said:
“I’ve honestly been on the fence. I didn’t have a problem; I don’t know that I’ll have a problem if John wins and breaks the record.
I look at things from not only a business aspect, I think of the way that he did everything, he was the face of the company, he didn’t take a day off, he did all the extra media, he did all the Make-A-Wishes, all that stuff.
So, there are certain times you just figure, you know what, ‘Throw the guy a bone.’ If that’s the case, that’s probably not the most wrestling purist view, that’s kind of a sentimental view on my part.”

• The Undertaker and Vince McMahon, who are real-life friends, were spotted at Super Bowl LIX.
On Busted Open Radio, Undertaker defended his relationship with Vince:
“People are like, ‘Oh you guys were so close, you know what happened.’ I’m like ‘I don’t know what hasn’t been done, we don’t talk about those things.’ But he is a friend of mine.
First off, he gave me an opportunity to make something of my life and become something. Through the course of all of those years, we became friends. After my father passed away, he was a father figure, he was a brother, he was a mentor.
I don’t know everything that’s happened, what’s going on, and I’m not the judge on this case… There’s only one judge, that’s the man upstairs. He’s gonna give us all whatever we deserve in the end, and that’s what it is.
I think people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. I don’t have to agree with everything that people do, but it doesn’t change the fact that I love somebody, and I’m friends with somebody.”
