Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, involving The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and Joe Hendry.

• The Undertaker has achieved numerous milestones, yet even he encountered moments that took him by surprise. One such instance was his unexpected and viral interaction with Brock Lesnar.

In 2014, WWE fans were left stunned when Brock Lesnar ended The Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania streak, marking one of the most shocking moments in WWE history. Seeking revenge, The Phenom attacked Lesnar during his WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins at Battleground 2015, setting the stage for a rematch.

In the main event of SummerSlam 2015, Lesnar and Undertaker clashed again. During this intense bout, a memorable moment occurred when Lesnar laughed menacingly at The Deadman after kicking out of the Tombstone Piledriver. Without missing a beat, The Undertaker responded with an equally chilling chuckle, escalating the tension. In a controversial finish, The Undertaker ultimately triumphed over Lesnar.

In a conversation with Chris Van Vliet, The Undertaker reflected on this battle with Lesnar. He revealed that Lesnar had mentioned the idea of the laugh before their match, but The Phenom hadn’t fully grasped its significance at the time. The resulting viral spot, where The Undertaker laughed back at Lesnar, was genuine and unplanned.

Here’s what The Deadman said:

“That was Brock. So we talked a little bit about that match and he ran it by me but I don’t think I was paying enough attention to what he really wanted to do. So when he did it, I was almost taken aback a little bit like, ‘what the freaking hell are you laughing at?’

And then it kind of dawned on me what he was doing. And then I laugh back at him and it’s become kind of an iconic deal but yeah, if I’d have been paying close enough attention I’d probably go ‘Yeah, I don’t know if I want to do that.’ But the way it worked, it worked out fine.”
