2. Ric Flair Says He’ll Never Drink Again, Konnan Trying To Repair Talks Between GFW (TNA) & Rey Mysterio, SmackDown Live Viewership For This Week
– During an interview with PEOPLE, two time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair discussed his recent health scare. Below is what The Nature Boy said during the interview:
“I crashed in an airplane and broke my back, I’ve been hit by lightning. But this is totally different. Anything I’ve been through before is nothing like this. It scared the s*** out of me. But I’m not out of the woods yet. I didn’t think I was an alcoholic, but obviously I was.
I never drank when I was working. But as soon as work was over, I went right to the mill. I’ve never taken a pain pill in my life. I’d just take a shower, flip my hair back and go to the best bar in town. I’ll never drink again. I never want to go through this again.”
– During a recent media conference call, Konnan had the following to say regarding the relationship between GFW (TNA) and former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio:
“I was definitely very heavily involved in it because I represent him. We were talking, talks broke down, and we’re trying to repair those talks. Hopefully in the future Rey may come to GFW, but that was something that was definitely in the works.”
