On this day in 2004, World Wrestling Entertainment aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWE SmackDown!’.

On tonight’s episode of RAW, Ricochet won a Gauntlet match to become the #1 contender for the United States Championship.

Ricochet will now face AJ Styles (once again) for the United States Championship at SummerSlam 2019.

As we noted earlier, Mike Kanellis pinned R-Truth in the opening segment of RAW to win the WWE 24/7 Championship.

In a backstage segment, Maria Kanellis forced Mike to lay down and pinned him to become the new WWE 24/7 Champion.

Maria is now the first ever pregnant champion in WWE history.
