Brock Lesnar was last seen on WWE programming at SummerSlam 2023, where he lost to Cody Rhodes. Lesnar turned babyface after the match and raised Cody’s hand and hugged him.
Lesnar didn’t return for the November 4th WWE Crown Jewel premium live event in Saudi Arabia either, which was surprising, as Brock worked every Saudi Arabia PLE since the inaugural event in 2018 (as the pay for these events is very high).
According to the Wrestling Observer, Lesnar is scheduled to return to WWE programming this month, and it’ll most likely be in the Men’s Royal Rumble match, where he’ll likely set up his next feud.
Lesnar is rumored to face Intercontinental Champion Gunther at WrestleMania 40. On last night’s RAW, Gunther announced his entry into the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
This match was teased in the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match as well. Gunther and Lesnar had a face-off and Gunther only managed to deliver one chop to Lesnar, as Bobby Lashley entered the match and went after Lesnar, and then eliminated The Beast.
Speaking of Royal Rumble 2024, Jason Latimer (Public Relations Director for Visit St. Pete-Clearwater) revealed that they paid $500,000 of its tourist development tax funding to WWE to secure this upcoming Royal Rumble premium live event.
Below is what Jason said during an interview with The Catalyst:
“The exposure and marketing benefits, and the visitation we’re going to get from this, are astronomical. We can take those monies that we collect from those visitors in their overnight stays and reinvest them in capital projects here, which will increase visitation.”
