He made his return to WWE in 2022, where he quickly became one of the company’s top stars. The American Nightmare has since headlined three consecutive WrestleManias and captured the Undisputed WWE Championship twice.
In a recent interview, Rhodes revealed that his next WWE contract will be his final one. He explained that after spending years traveling the world and dedicating his life to pro wrestling, he now wants to focus more on his family. Rhodes spoke about how much he values being present for his wife and two daughters, noting that he doesn’t want to miss key moments in their lives while constantly being on the road.
According to Fightful Select, Rhodes still has several years left on his current WWE deal.
On the latest episode of SmackDown, Aleister Black started a feud with Cody and they squared off in the main event. However, the match ended in a No Contest after Drew McIntyre attacked the referee. Drew and Aleister double teamed on Cody, which led to Damian Priest making the save.

The SmackDown after Saturday Night’s Main Event aired last night from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.
It was quite an action-packed episode, kicking off with a new feud between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Aleister Black, Chelsea Green dethroning Giulia to claim the Women’s United States Championship and ending with Drew McIntyre’s suspension.
However, one of the most unexpected and talked-about moments of the night was WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Charlotte Flair’s wardrobe malfunction.
The Queen shared a brief staredown with new WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill on her way to the ring for her match against Nia Jax. The screen cut to black multiple times during the bout after The Queen suffered a n*p slip. She had a rough night overall as Lash Legend debuted to take out her partner Alexa Bliss, leading to Jax securing the win while Flair was distracted.
A fan took to X to ask if Charlotte Flair had a wardrobe malfunction. The Queen replied that she might just have to change her gear at this point:
