At WrestleMania 39 Sunday, Drew McIntyre was pinned by Gunther in the Intercontinental Championship match, which also involved Sheamus.
After the match, McIntyre waved goodbye to the fans on Twitter.
McIntyre has been off WWE programming since then, because he reportedly got injured during this match.
PWInsider recently reported that many people in WWE believe that McIntyre will be back “in the mix” by the UK tour and this weekend’s Money In The Bank premium live event.
In an update from PWInsider, they are reporting the following about McIntyre regarding tomorrow’s Money In The Bank PLE:
“Nothing new that we’ve heard. There were some in the company confident he would be back with the current UK tour and Money In The Bank, but he’s not on the tour and some of those same sources were far less confident in recent days.
If they have decided to pull the trigger and bring him back Saturday, it’s being well hidden thus far.”
Drew recently represented WWE at the Special Olympics World Games, where he served as the Special Olympics Global Ambassador.
