Below are some top WWE news stories of the day:

– After Gunther defeated Matt Riddle to retain the Intercontinental Championship at Money In The Bank 2023, Drew McIntyre made his return and confronted The Ring General.

Gunther shoved him, which led to Drew hitting a Glasgow Kiss, followed by a Claymore Kick. McIntyre then posed with the Intercontinental Championship.

According to PWInsider, Drew still hasn’t signed a new contract with WWE, and his current deal expires in early 2024. Both sides are far apart on the money.

During the Money In The Bank post-show press conference, Triple H said McIntyre is a great superstar and will hopefully stay with WWE for the rest of his career.

– The Rock tweeted the following about Droz’s passing at the age of 54:

“Man I’m so sorry to hear one of our ring brothers has passed away.

Darren Drozdov aka Droz.

We wrestled on a lot of cards together. Such an awesome dude. Great personality and great wrestling talent. We always talked about football and fishing. Sending love, strength, mana and light to his family.

RIP brother.”
