Update On John Cena After Heel Turn

John Cena won the Men’s Elimination Chamber match tonight and will face Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 41.

Cena won after Seth Rollins (who got eliminated) hit CM Punk with a Stomp. Cena took advantage and locked in the STF on Punk, and Punk fainted.

WWE Champion Cody Rhodes came out after the match and shook Cena’s hand. The Rock then came out with Travis Scott. The Rock said the moment has arrived, as he is opening his arms and wants Cody to embrace him as his brother. Rock said if Cody says no, then the dream dies… again.

Cody said he wants it all and his soul no longer belongs to him, because he gave his soul to this ring and these people a long time ago. Cody then said:

“Hey Rock, go f**k yourself!”

Cena popped in the back! Cena then hugged Cody and The Rock signaled Cena to finish it off. Cena then turned heel and low blowed Cody! Cena then punched Cody with his watch and the mic! Cena picked up the WWE Title and hit Cody in the head. Cody got busted open.

John ripped off Cody’s shirt and choked Cody with the tie! Even Travis Scott attacked Cody. Rock then whipped Cody with the weight belt! Rock, Cena, and Scott left Cody a bloody mess.

During the Elimination Chamber post-show, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H said:

“Does it feel like we’re on the road to WrestleMania now?”

HHH went on to say the following about Cena’s heel turn:

“That felt like one of the biggest things I’ve seen happen.”

HHH compared the shock factor of Cena’s heel turn to Bruno Sammartino losing the WWWF Championship several decades ago.

Triple H also revealed that Cena told them a while ago to stop calling him the greatest of all time.

Cena also appeared on the post show, but refused to speak. He dropped the mic and left.

The Rock later revealed on the post show that Cena is going to Africa to continue filming his movie.
