Below are some top WWE & AEW news stories of the day:

– On last night’s episode of RAW, Liv Morgan was scheduled to face Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley in a non-title match.

However, the match didn’t take place, as Rhea brutally assaulted Liv before the bell rang.

Rhea injured Liv’s arm using a Steel Chair.

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE did this angle to write Liv off TV, as she needs some more time off to heal from her shoulder injury, which she came back from recently. She was seen with a sling in her arm after last week’s RAW.

This angle was also done to build up to a Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Rodriguez match for the Women’s World Championship.

Rhea hurt Liv’s tag team partner Raquel last week on RAW, and injured her knee (storyline wise), which resulted in Liv & Raquel losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville.
