• There have been rumors since WrestleMania 39 that WWE will debut a new design for the Men’s Tag Team Titles.
Before the October 16th episode of RAW, new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship designs were photo and video tested during rehearsals.
Cultaholic reported the following:
“Two possible sets of new Tag Team title belts with radically different designs were tested. One set of belts was all gold with black straps. The other set that was screen-tested featured a gold and silver design with one red and one blue strap.”
Finn Balor & Damian Priest of Judgment Day won back the Tag Team Titles from Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso this past Monday on RAW.
• Tony Khan originally said on the AEW WrestleDream post-show media scrum that this PPV dedicated to the memory of Antonio Inoki did around 100,000 PPV buys.
The Wrestling Observer gave the following update on the pay-per-view buys number:
“WrestleDream didn’t do the late buys that All In and All Out did on television. It is now tracking 4.7 percent lower than All Out for television as of the same number of days after the show. As noted before, it was originally up 25 percent on streaming. It feels like 108,000 to 120,000 at this point, but could be lower.”
WrestleDream featured the surprise AEW debut of WWE Hall of Famer Edge aka Adam Copeland.
• WWE has officially announced Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship as the main event of the Crown Jewel premium live event in Saudi Arabia on November 4th.
