Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Roxanne Perez.

• Update On Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes

Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes may not face off just yet. According to WrestleVotes, WWE might wait to book this feud after Cody wins back the Undisputed WWE Championship.

With Cody and Randy both on SmackDown, WWE might shift them to different brands during the Draft to keep them away for a while.

Their potential feud carries years of backstory. Randy Orton was once Cody Rhodes’ mentor in Legacy, a faction formed in 2008 alongside Ted DiBiase Jr. The group consisted of 2nd and 3rd generation superstars, with Orton as the established leader and Rhodes as the rising star.

During their time together, Orton often overshadowed Cody, but their alliance helped Cody gain early exposure and credibility.

After Legacy disbanded in 2010, the two had occasional run-ins but never engaged in a full-fledged singles rivalry. Now, with Cody at the top of his game and Orton a seasoned veteran, a feud between them could be a deeply personal, emotionally charged storyline.

WWE may be saving this clash for a bigger stage, like WrestleMania, especially if gold is involved.

• Backstage News On Roxanne Perez Possibly Joining Judgment Day

On this week’s RAW, Finn Balor introduced Roxanne Perez to The Judgment Day and said that Roxanne will help them during Liv Morgan’s absence.

Roxanne brought chicken nuggets for Dominik Mysterio and an apple for Carlito to win them over, but Raquel Rodriguez wasn’t impressed.

WrestleVotes reported the following about this storyline:

“I think it’s more testing the waters, see the reaction. She looks the part already and fits that group. I would love to see her and Liv fight for an official spot inside The Judgment Day.”

It was made clear on RAW that Roxanne isn’t a part of Judgment Day yet. Speaking of Roxanne, she qualified for the 2025 Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match on RAW, by defeating Natalya and Becky Lynch in a triple threat qualification match.
