• Update On Rhea Ripley’s Return After Brain Injury

On Monday’s RAW, it was revealed that Rhea Ripley is not cleared to compete, so she won’t be able to face Bianca Belair for the RAW Women’s Championship at Money In The Bank 2022.

This led to 5-Way match taking place on RAW to determine Bianca’s new opponent.

Carmella went on to defeat Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, Asuka & Becky Lynch to earn a Title match against Belair at Money In The Bank.

When a fan said Ripley doesn’t look injured on Instagram, she replied:

“Brain/teeth. Can’t see a brain injury. Stop being incompetent and reaching at nothing.”

Rhea got hurt after her head collided with her own knee after taking a DDT from Alexa Bliss.

You can watch it below:

According to the Wrestling Observer, Ripley isn’t expected to miss a lot of time and will return soon:

“Her teeth were knocked loose in a match and she had braces put in. The braces were evident on her the last time she was on TV.

But, the other thing must’ve been, you know, when she says her brain, that usually means a concussion.

The two things that WWE doesn’t like to talk about are COVID and concussions. I’ve known people in WWE who have both who have [said] outright, ‘We’re told not to say that.’ So, she said it. She didn’t quite use the word concussion, but she had a brain injury is what she said.

She’s not going to be on the pay-per-view, obviously. They made that very clear, but it’s not expected to be a long-term absence either. She’s expected to be back very soon.”

It’s possible we get to see Belair vs. Ripley at SummerSlam 2022 on July 30th.
