Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Becky Lynch and Kevin Nash.
• Becky Lynch fulfilled her WWE obligations before her contract expired on June 1st, where she dropped the Women’s World Title to Liv Morgan at the King and Queen of the Ring premium live event. Her final match was two nights later on RAW, facing Morgan in a Steel Cage match.
Though Lynch is expected to make a comeback, it’s not anticipated to be soon, as her time away is reportedly extended. WrestleVotes previously noted that Lynch’s name still appears on WWE’s weekly talent roster.
On the latest Backstage Pass episode, Jonathan Coachman mentioned that Lynch supposedly asked for $2 million a year, but WWE didn’t agree; otherwise, she’d be on the show now.
However, Fightful Select reports WWE insiders dismissed Coachman’s statements, confirming that WWE remains on good terms with Lynch. WWE reportedly respects Lynch’s choice to take time off after her recent run and indicated that if she had wanted a new deal before leaving, an agreement would have been reached.
Regarding the $2 million figure, it was clarified that Lynch never asked for that amount; in fact, that sum would be considered a bargain given her value. WWE and AEW’s pay scales have risen significantly, so Lynch’s next wrestling contract is expected to exceed that figure.
As of now, Lynch is a free agent. Both those close to her and WWE insiders believe they will work together again in the future, as long as the circumstances are right.

• 2-Time Hall of Famer Kevin Nash might be making a return to WWE programming soon.
NXT will take place at the 2300 Arena (fka the ECW Arena) this Wednesday, and several legends, including Bubba Ray Dudley, Dawn Marie, Francine, and Rob Van Dam, are confirmed to join the show, fueling fan excitement for possible surprises.
During his Kliq This podcast, Nash was asked if he’d be attending this week’s NXT.
“I think I’m going in December. I think like December…,” Nash responded, before checking his calendar.
When reminded that the November 6th NXT show is right after Election Night, Nash seemed to agree he likely won’t be there.
