• Update On Rumors Of SummerSlam 2022 Taking Place In The UK

As we noted earlier, Alex McCarthy reported that WWE Officials are discussing doing SummerSlam 2022 in the United Kingdom.

According to the Wrestling Observer, nothing is 100% confirmed at this point regarding SummerSlam 2022:

“There is a report that SummerSlam next year is going to be in Cardiff, Wales, that is far from a done deal. Obviously, there is talk of Cardiff, Wales, and probably somewhere else in the UK so, that would be interesting timeslot wise.

That’s why I don’t think it’s going to be SummerSlam, because it would have to be in the afternoon and I don’t know if they’ll want to do that.

With Peacock, it’s not like they’ll lose pay-per-view buys over it, because they have guaranteed money. Since they’re guaranteed the money they should do a pay-per-view in the UK, I mean they should have done one a year, like one of those B-shows every year.”

Alex McCarthy also noted in his report that if SummerSlam 2022 didn’t take place in the UK, then some other PPV event will, and it would most likely be a Stadium show.
