• Update On Stephanie McMahon’s Future In WWE

WWE’s Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon announced the following on Twitter:

“As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE.

WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.”

According to PWInsider, only the top WWE Officials knew about this and everyone else in the company was shocked to hear about Stephanie’s status.

Wrestlenomics is reporting that WWE President Nick Khan will handle Stephanie’s work during her absence:

“Nick Khan will be taking over most of Stephanie McMahon’s duties in her absence, according to multiple people at WWE. Select business partners have already been informed.”

They also noted that Stephanie’s role in WWE is going to get reduced in the future:

“One WWE employee told us they’d heard in recent weeks that Stephanie’s role in the company might be reduced soon.

Reasons for Stephanie’s exit aren’t clear to us, but we’ve been told working a busy schedule for many years and her husband’s health problems were factors.”

• Old School WWF Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WWF/WCW Veteran Scott Putski (Real name: James Bednarski) celebrates his 56th birthday today.

He’s the son of WWF Legend & WWF/WWE Hall of Famer “Polish Power” Ivan Putski (Józef Bednarski).

It felt a bit odd when this 260 lbs Heavyweight Wrestler was used in the newly founded WWF Light-Heavyweight Division (basically the counterpart to WCW’s Cruiserweight Division) in 1997.

Scott then joined Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling in 1998, but left the promotion a year later in 1999.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOTT PUTSKI!
