Update On The Finish Of The Greatest Royal Rumble Main Event

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns - Greatest Royal Rumble (Universal Championship Match)

• The Rock Confirms That Vince McMahon Had Big Plans For Him At WrestleMania 34

During a recent interview with KISS FM UK, WWF Legend The Rock was asked if he would return to WWE. Below is what The Rock said:

“Oh yeah, absolutely. Sure! As a matter of fact, Vince McMahon and I were talking probably about two months ago trying to figure out what I was going to do if I went back to WrestleMania. He pitched me this really great idea that involved a tag match with Ronda Rousey – who’s incredible – I’m very proud of her, and Triple H, and Stephanie [McMahon].

We were really excited about it on the phone. We couldn’t make it work this time because I was in Shanghai [for a film premiere], but who knows down the line.”

• Update On The Finish Of The Greatest Royal Rumble Main Event

The main event of this Friday’s Greatest Royal Rumble event will be a Steel Cage match between “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar & “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns with the Universal Championship on the line.

As we have noted before via DirtySheets.Net, current plan is for Reigns to defeat Lesnar to capture the Universal Championship and then go on to defend the Title against Samoa Joe at Backlash 2018.

However, some other sources feel that won’t be the case or that the finish hasn’t been finalised yet.

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer is speculating that Lesnar might retain the Universal Title against Reigns in their steel cage match at the Greatest Royal Rumble because most fans won’t be watching the show live because of Friday being a working day.

Another possible reason could be WWE officials trying to have Lesnar overtake CM Punk’s WWE Title reign of 434 days.

On the other hand, Slice Wrestling noted that WWE officials haven’t finalised the outcome of this match yet.

It is safe to say that Reigns will walk out the winner of this match and the new Universal Champion as Vince McMahon expects a big babyface reaction to Reigns in Saudi Arabia.
