• Update On When SmackDown Is Going Back To 2 Hours
WWE is getting ready to shorten SmackDown once again, as the show is scheduled to move back to its old two-hour format very soon. While the show expanded to three hours at the start of the year, new details show that this was always meant to be a temporary move.
According to the Wrestling Observer, the current contract is set up so that the first half of the year is three hours, but starting in either late June or the first week of July, the show will cut back down to two hours.
This schedule is expected to stick for at least the next four years.
• WWE’s Return Plan For Brock Lesnar
Even though Brock Lesnar left his gear in the ring at WrestleMania 42, his time with WWE might not be over just yet.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that many people backstage felt that leaving his boots and gloves behind was a real goodbye. However, there is a growing belief that he has at least one more match left in him.
WWE is reportedly working hard to get him on the card for SummerSlam 2026 this August. The show is being held in Minneapolis, which is basically his backyard, making it the perfect spot for a final appearance.
According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, WWE is also changing how they present Lesnar to the fans. They are planning to bring him back as a babyface.
There’s an unfinished story that fans are waiting to see wrapped up, the one involving Gunther and a mysterious favor owed to Paul Heyman. There are rumors that this would lead to the long awaited Gunther vs. Lesnar match at SummerSlam, with Brock making a massive babyface return in Minneapolis.
