On July 22nd 2022, long-time WWF/WWE promoter Vince McMahon officially retired from all his positions within WWE as a result of the infamous hush money & $exual misconduct scandals.
However, Mr. McMahon returned to WWE’s Board of Directors on January 6th 2023 to prepare for the eventual sale of the company for $9.3 billion to UFC parent Endeavor Group Holdings, that was announced in early April 2023.
Since then, Vince is back and also interfered in the writing of several TV shows & premium-live-events recently, but at the same time still tries his best to leave most of creative to his son-in-law, Triple H.
PWInsider has an update regarding Mr. McMahon’s status for the upcoming ‘WWE Night of Champions 2023’ PLE in Saudi Arabia and revealed whether the legendary promoter will be there in person or not.
Here’s what they reported:
“For those who have asked, Vince McMahon is not in Saudi Arabia for WWE Night of Champions event. We are told that there was an office set up for him in the event he was making the trip but he’s now not expected to be there.
Paul Levesque will be heading up the show. Kevin Dunn is also on location in Saudi for the event.”
