• Update On Who Will Defeat Trick Williams For The TNA World Title

At NXT Battleground 2025, Trick Williams made history by defeating Joe Hendry to become the first WWE-contracted talent to win the TNA World Championship. Hendry’s reign concluded after 126 days. Following his victory, Williams met with TNA President Carlos Silva to discuss his role as champion. According to Fightful Select, Hendry isn’t going to win the TNA World Title back from Williams. Mike Santana is expected to win the Title from Williams at Slammiversary on July 20, which will take place at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, which is Santana’s hometown.

The storyline between Williams and Santana began at TNA Under Siege, where they had a tense backstage encounter. Santana later appeared at NXT Battleground. Santana will Tavion Heights on this week’s NXT.

• WWE Is Planning A “Legend vs. Legend” Match For Evolution 2

WWE is reportedly planning a high-profile match between Becky Lynch and Bayley for the upcoming Evolution 2 premium live event on July 13, according to Fightful Select.

Discussions are underway to feature this bout as a marquee “Legend vs. Legend” attraction for the all-women’s show.

The feud began at WrestleMania 41, when Bayley was attacked backstage. Becky Lynch ended up returning and taking Bayley’s spot to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Lyra Valkyria.

After Becky & Lyra lost the titles and Becky turned heel on Lyra, Becky revealed that she was the one who attacked Bayley, and said she deserved to be on the WrestleMania card because she’s a bigger star than Bayley.

• Good News For Chelsea Green Fans

On Saturday Night’s Main Event, Zelina Vega defeated Chelsea Green to retain the Women’s United States Championship. Zelina botched the 619 and busted open Chelsea’s nose. You can watch it below:

Chelsea sustained a broken nose, but there’s some good news. In an update from Fightful Select, Chelsea’s nose suffered a clean break and she’s not supposed to miss a lot of time.
