Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring WrestleMania 42 and Roxanne Perez.

• With WrestleMania 41 less than 3 months away, speculation is growing about the host city for WrestleMania 42 in 2026.

According to PWInsider, New Orleans is currently the leading contender. WWE sources have been circulating this possibility for the past month, and the rumor has gained traction in Louisiana. Additionally, Indianapolis is reportedly being considered for hosting WrestleMania in 2027.

The buzz around New Orleans isn’t surprising. Last week, WrestleVotes reported that WWE is planning a WrestleMania press event in New Orleans during Super Bowl weekend, which mirrors last year’s announcement in Las Vegas for WrestleMania 41.

If confirmed, this would mark another WrestleMania for New Orleans, a city with a rich history of hosting major WWE events.

Perez was seated at ringside for Bayley’s match against Nia Jax. At one point, Perez distracted Bayley, which led to Bayley attacking her. Perez tried to hit back, but security stopped her.

While being held back by security, Perez sold the moment by kicking and flailing, which unintentionally led to her accidentally kicking a front-row spectator. The impact knocked the woman off her seat and onto the floor.

WWE has yet to issue a formal statement about the incident, but fan safety remains a priority for the company. There’s speculation about whether WWE will address the mishap in future broadcasts or with the affected fan directly.
