In the main event of WWE SummerSlam 2023, Roman Reigns defeated Jey Uso to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a Tribal Combat match, after Jimmy Uso returned to turn on Jey.
On last week’s episode of SmackDown, Jey took out Reigns, Jimmy and Solo Sikoa and then quit WWE. He was later moved to the alumni section on WWE’s website.
WWE is not advertising The Bloodline for tonight’s episode of SmackDown, and it seems like they won’t be featured much on WWE programming for a while.
The likely plan is for WWE to do a match between The Usos, but it won’t happen anytime soon.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Jimmy vs. Jey Uso is being held off for more build time and likely a bigger show.
The Bloodline isn’t advertised for next month’s Payback premium live event. The only two big WWE shows left this year are Crown Jewel and Survivor Series, so one of those could feature a match between the twin brothers.
The Usos stated in an interview with Ariel Helwani earlier this year that they want to face each other at WrestleMania, so there’s also a possibility of WWE holding back on their match until next year.
