• Hornswoggle Reveals When He Was Told He Was Going To Be Vince McMahon’s “Son”
During a recent episode on Pancakes and Powerslams Show, Hornswoggle talked about him being Vince McMahon’s son angle, WWE filming “Where are they now?” on him & more. Below are the highlights:
On how long he was notified about Vince McMahon’s son angle before it aired:
“Two hours. I thought it was a complete joke, and it was awesome to me because it was my hometown. Bruce Prichard came up to me. ‘I need your phone.’ I said, ‘for what?’ He said, ‘I need your phone.’ I responded ‘Okay?’ He held my phone for the night so it wouldn’t get out, and told me.”
On WWE filming “Where Are They Now?” on him:
“It was incredible. WWE told me back in September, they asked me if I’d be available and I said of course. On such a huge platform, WWE, and so it would be dumb not to. I didn’t know what to expect going into it and the day they were filming, I picked up my son from school, and we just started filming.
It was literally just like a day at home, I didn’t even realize that there were cameras there, hardly. It was awesome seeing the end product. I don’t ever watch myself in my matches. I overly critique myself, and I don’t enjoy them then. But this one… I was very happy.
It didn’t come off bitter, it didn’t come off anything other than positive. It made everyone see how grateful I am for the opportunities I got in WWE.”
• Update On Ronda Rousey’s Tag Team Partner At WrestleMania 34
As we have noted before, WWE is planning to do a mixed tag team match at WrestleMania 34, where Ronda Rousey & a male partner will face the team of Stephanie McMahon & Triple H.
With that being said, Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso is reporting that WWE is considering one of the following names to be Ronda’s tag team partner:
– The Rock
– Kurt Angle
– Shane McMahon
– Seth Rollins
The Rock is obviously WWE’s #1 choice in this scenario (he was on Ronda’s side during her WrestleMania 31 segment), but WWE will most likely go with Kurt Angle if The Rock is unavailable.
It should be noted that Braun Strowman was also rumored at one point to be Ronda’s tag team partner at WrestleMania 34.
We’ll keep you updated regarding this.
