Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day:

– Former WWE Champion Big E suffered a broken neck on an episode of SmackDown in March 2022.

He hasn’t returned to in-ring competition and most likely never will, but the good news is that he’s almost back to 100%, as far as being able to live a normal life.

Below is what fellow New Day member Kofi Kingston said during an interview with Toronto Sun:

“I’m so happy that he’s doing so well, physically and mentally, because I can only imagine what an injury like that, as severe as the one that he suffered to his neck, he fractured his C1 and his C6 in a couple of places and to not have surgery, there was no misalignment, he really is almost back to 100%, feeling-wise.

He’s able to live everyday life and he’s able to lift weights, which is a big part of his life, too.

It could have been a lot worse. I’m just happy that he is able to live his life with a level of happiness and health.”

– Former WWE wrestler Sin Cara (the original one), now known as Mistico, is set to make his debut for All Elite Wrestling on this Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage at the Fort Bend Epicenter in Rosenberg, Texas.

Mistico, who is the current CMLL World Middleweight Champion, will face CMLL World Historic Welterweight Champion Rocky Romero in what is being billed as “Mexico’s Pound For Pound Crown” by AEW.

The match will be taped after this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday night.

The Wrestling Observer reported the following about the plan for this match:

“The idea, from what I understand, is to make this an authentic Arena Mexico match with the Arena Mexico video footage, with the Arena Mexico music.”
