The highly anticipated heavyweight clash between former two-time unified champion Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul ended exactly as the oddsmakers predicted. Joshua secured a dominant sixth-round knockout victory at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

The fight, which was broadcast live on Netflix, saw Joshua (29-4, 26 KOs) use his superior size and professional experience to systematically break down the younger Paul. Although Paul (12-2) showed great resilience by surviving several early rounds and even landing a few punches, the power gap eventually became too much to overcome.

The match began with a measured pace, as Paul circled the ring and used his movement to avoid Joshua’s power shots. However, by the fifth round, the tide turned completely. Joshua landed a devastating uppercut and a straight left that sent Paul to the canvas twice in the same round. Paul narrowly survived the round, but he appeared exhausted and hurt.

In the sixth round, Joshua trapped Paul in the corner and landed a massive right hand that ended the contest at the 1:31 mark. Paul was unable to beat the referee’s count, giving Joshua his first victory in over 15 months.

After the fight, Joshua praised Paul for his courage, saying, “He got up time and time again. It takes a real man to do that.” Joshua then immediately turned his attention to the future, calling out Tyson Fury for a “mega-fight” in 2026.

Paul, despite the loss, remained upbeat, telling fans, “I gave it my all… Anthony is a great fighter and I got my a$$ beat, but that’s what this sport is about.”

Jake said his jaw is broken and he’s going to take some time off. Jake said he hopes to become the Cruiserweight World Champion some day.

During his entrance, Jake paid tribute to the late WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan.
