On this day in Pro Wrestling history on January 24, 1998, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired their annual ‘WCW Souled Out’ event LIVE on PPV from the Hara Arena in Trotwood, Ohio.
With the previous year’s Souled Out PPV being strictly an nWo event (kayfabe wise), this was basically the first Souled Out that was officially ran by WCW.

Back in 2016, “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns defeated “The Game” Triple H in the main event of WrestleMania 32 to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

During a recent interview with New York Post, UFC President Dana White had the following to say regarding former WWE wrestler CM Punk fighting again in UFC:
“I like that guy. He’s a good dude. He wants one more. He wants to get another shot. I’m going to give it to him.”
Raw & 205 Live wrestler Jack Gallagher (who’s also an MMA fighter with a record of 2-0) wrote the following on Twitter regarding this story:
“Doesn’t have an opponent. I have two minutes to spare.”
Punk made his UFC debut in 2016 at UFC 203 PPV and lost to Mickey Gall via submission in 2 minutes & 14 seconds of the very first round.
