Below are a couple of top WWE RAW & AEW Dynamite news stories of the day:
• This week’s episode of RAW, which featured appearances from the returning Randy Orton and CM Punk, drew 1.88 million viewers with a 0.65 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is up from last week’s 1.46 million viewers with a 0.49 rating.
RAW faced competition from NFL on ABC, ESPN & ESPN 2.
This was the highest rating of RAW since the post-WrestleMania 39 episode.
Brandon Thurston reported the following hourly breakdown of viewership & rating:
“The first quarter-hour, during the ad-free first hour, was the high point of RAW, with the Randy Orton live promo with Rhea Ripley, averaging 2,058,000 viewers and 0.73 P18-49 rating.
Punk’s promo closed the show, where viewership usually wanes in the 3rd hour. 1,768,000 viewers, +7% from the prior quarter. P18-49 grew 16% to a 0.66 rating, according to a Nielsen source.
The quarter with Rollins’ promo near 10:00pm had just over 1.9 million viewers and strong growth.”
