Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Vince McMahon and Ernest Miller.
• During an interview on Barstool Rasslin’, Matt Riddle shared that he initially wanted his character to use a dirt bike rather than a scooter during his entrances in WWE.
He explained that the scooter wasn’t his original idea. He had proposed a dirt bike instead. However, Vince McMahon, who was overseeing things at the time, suggested a scooter instead.
Riddle then thought of using a skateboard, but with so many WWE Superstars already using skateboards, he decided against it.
Here’s what the former United States Champion said:
“You know, it wasn’t my idea. I actually suggested a dirt bike. I had the idea of the dirt bike, and Vince was in complete control at that time, and he’s like, ‘A scooter’. Then I go, ‘What about a skateboard?’ But then everybody in WWE was doing skateboards, so I didn’t do that.”
WWE released Matt Riddle in 2023 because he failed multiple drug tests due to cocaine use (confirmed by him) and his other controversies outside of the ring (including an incident at the airport).

• Many wrestlers from WCW eventually made their way to the WWF/ WWE, including 3-time Karate World Champion Ernest “The Cat” Miller, whose WWE tenure was brief. Recently, Miller discussed the possibility of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
In WCW’s later years, Miller was a prominent figure, serving as an on-screen commissioner and appearing in numerous segments. After WCW shut down in 2001, he took a hiatus before joining WWE. In 2002, he competed in a few dark matches, then later appeared in two televised matches in 2004, including a spot in the Royal Rumble that year.
Speaking on Ten Count Media, Ernest Miller addressed whether he might receive a WWE Hall of Fame induction or a WWE Legends contract. Miller candidly stated that he doesn’t expect either, remarking that he likely didn’t “kiss enough a$$” during his time there. Although he’s heard people mention the possibility, he feels that his wrestling days are behind him and that he’s now focused on pursuits outside of wrestling.
Here’s what he said:
“I don’t. They talked about it, and I’ve heard a couple of people mention it, but I don’t think I kissed enough a$$ when I was there. Well, it’s never too late. It’s always too late for me because my wrestling life is behind me. I did what I was supposed to do in wrestling, and now I’m doing it in different things.”
After his 2004 Royal Rumble appearance, “The Cat” made one more televised WWE appearance in a Royal Rumble match on SmackDown. Although he’s occasionally wrestled on the independent scene, Miller remains focused on his karate practice, which he values most — even if a Hall of Fame induction isn’t in his future.
