• Vince McMahon Is Blocking Janel Grant’s “Fishing Expedition”

Vince McMahon and WWE are moving to limit access to internal records as legal battles continue in the lawsuit brought by former WWE employee Janel Grant. According to a report from Post Wrestling, both McMahon and WWE filed motions on Monday opposing Grant’s efforts to obtain a wide range of documents tied to her case. The filings respond to a recent request from Grant’s legal team, which is seeking materials such as emails between Vince and Linda McMahon, WWE board communications, and various drafts of the non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that sits at the heart of the dispute.

Grant has alleged she signed the NDA while under significant duress and coercion. Her lawyers argue that the requested documents are crucial to demonstrating the circumstances surrounding the agreement and broader workplace issues. McMahon’s legal team, however, claims that Grant has not met the legal requirements to justify accessing these records at this stage. They described her pursuit of documents as an “improper fishing expedition,” aimed at gathering unrelated information before the court has ruled on whether the case should proceed to arbitration.

WWE’s legal filing mirrored those arguments, accusing Grant’s side of attempting to sidestep a court-ordered stay and push forward with full-scale discovery prematurely. WWE’s lawyers also asserted that Grant has provided no evidence indicating she did not intend to be bound by the arbitration clause or that her agreement to arbitrate was obtained through fraud or coercion.

• WWE Is Interesting In Signing 3 AEW Wrestlers

WWE appears to be setting its sights on some fresh talent from AEW, as new reports suggest the company is interested in bringing in Danhausen and the tag team Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen). According to BodySlam, WWE is keeping close tabs on all three performers, whose current AEW contracts are believed to be nearing their end. While no official deals have been announced, sources indicate that a potential move to WWE could happen sooner rather than later.

Danhausen, known for his unique blend of comedy and dark persona, has gained a cult following in the wrestling world. Meanwhile, Private Party has been a standout tag team since arriving in AEW’s early days. They won the AEW World Tag Team Championship last year by defeating The Young Bucks, and went on to drop the titles to The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) earlier this year in January.

If WWE successfully signs them, it could signal another significant talent shift between wrestling’s two major promotions, continuing the ongoing competition for star power and fan interest.

• Roman Reigns Welcomes His 6th Child

According to WrestleVotes, Roman Reigns and his wife, Galina Becker, welcomed their 6th child recently. This explains Roman’s prolonged absence from WWE programming. The Tribal Chief also took time off in 2020 to help out his wife, who gave birth to twins at the time, and not take any risk at the time of COVID (which is why he missed WrestleMania 36). He was last seen on WWE programming on the RAW after WrestleMania 41, where he was attacked by Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker.

Behind the scenes, WWE has started laying the groundwork for Reigns’ highly anticipated comeback. WrestleVotes recently reported that new merchandise and marketing materials are already in development, signaling that the company is getting serious about bringing The OTC back into the spotlight. While there had been talks about involving Reigns at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, plans shifted. The focus is now firmly on his return ahead of SummerSlam, where he’s expected to play a major role.

Interestingly, WWE is also exploring variations of the “Tribal Chief” moniker, hinting at a possible refresh or evolution of his character when he resurfaces.

• Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns Will Be In The Same Movie

The Hollywood Reporter recently confirmed that Roman Reigns will play the role of Akuma in the live-action “Street Fighter” movie. Now, Cody Rhodes is expected to be in this movie as well. Nexus Point News is reporting that The American Nightmare is currently in negotiations to join the cast of this upcoming Street Fighter film.

The role Rhodes is pursuing is none other than Guile, a fan-favorite fighter who’s been part of the franchise since Street Fighter II launched in 1991. Guile, known for his signature flat-top haircut and devastating “Sonic Boom” attack, has become one of the most recognizable characters in the series.

Beyond his combat prowess, Guile’s story has deep roots in military honor and personal loss. As a high-ranking officer in the U.S. Air Force, he’s driven by the mission to take down the villainous M. Bison and the Shadaloo organization, seeking justice for the death of his close friend. Yet despite his tough exterior and duty-bound mindset, he remains devoted to his family, striving to balance his military obligations with life at home alongside his wife and daughter.

If Rhodes lands the part, he’ll be following in the footsteps of action legend Jean-Claude Van Damme, who famously played Guile in the 1994 Street Fighter film adaptation.

Shooting for this movie will begin in August and it will take place in Australia.
